You have seen her every where and heard her catch phrase"Cash Me Ouss Side,Hoe bout Dat!". From Tv to Instagram even on the MTV Movie and Tv Awards Danielle Bregoli Has gone from out of control teen to the youngest rapper on the Billboards chart.
But is it earned talent or glorified behavior?
Danielle Bregoli who was born in Boynton Beach, Florida on February 22, 2003 is now seen as an American television and social media personality. After her appearance on Dr. Phil In Sept. 2016, to discuss her home life, which was described as a lying, stealing, provocative and disrespectful. Danielle’s mother also claimed the then 13-year-old was a serial runaway who physically attacked her. WTF Are you serious this child needs help not a TV show! To go on during her interview with Dr. Phil, she became agitated with the audience and suggested, in her own unique way, that anyone with a problem should meet her outside. “Cash me outside, how bow dah?” became an internet meme overnight, spawning many, always evolving, variations. As of Feb. 10, 2017, Danielle has 3.8 million followers on Instagram.
As a result of her appearance on Dr.Phil she spent four and a half months at a school and residential program for troubled teens called Turn-About Ranch.
Girl groups are still on the rise. There is a new popular R&B girl group that goes by the name “Riplay” ,who are straight out Baltimore. The group consist of three members, Marshaye Hebron, her younger sister A’laiza Hebron and Kiya Hawthorne, who are between the ages of 15-17. Each of these three young ladies bring a different style and vibe to the group.Marshaye who also goes by the name Shay, has more of a Left eye type style to her, Alaiza brings more of the soft but funky aspect to the group and Kiya brings the soul to this dynamic trio. These young ladies were discovered by Ivory of Low Key Music Group who then introduced the girls to Melvin Watson, the founder and Ceo of Phantom Boyz Music LLC. Right now “Riplay” has two hit songs out called “Hate Me” and “Strange” ft. Lil Key (of Jermaine Dupris The Rap Game). Both songs instantly went viral after hitting social media. We look forward to hearing more work from this young and upcoming girl trio.
The rap industry is dominated by males with a sprinkle of female rap artist who have made a name for themselves in the past decade.
There’s always new and upcoming artist male or female who seem to get a lot of love and attention by music lovers everywhere.Any upcoming artist has a fair chance is the rap game. So that brings me to one of the few female rappers who’s trying to break out into the industry. She goes by the name Lex Dime. Alexis Dominique Jones aka “Lex Dime” was born in Stratford, New Jersey, but was raised in West Philadelphia.
At the age of fifteen, Alexis started out her career as a singer but was later inspired by her cousin to start rapping and has been rapping ever since. Alexis wanted to be a positive female example for her peers.
Dedicating her music to uplift women and staying true to themselves. She decided to use her local fame as a platform to help bring awareness to HIV/AIDS as an educator and an advocate. She has four mixtapes out for distribution and has songs out such as “Paragon Fully Loaded”,“Back to the Future: 80s Baby”, “Str8 Dime”, All four of her mixtapes have been sold out and she is still promoting her music. She released a song this year in January titled “Heavy” and a more recent song titled “LOST Girls” featuring Suzann Christine.
She credits her musical influences to hip hop rap legends such as Salt-N-Pepa, Queen Latifah and her mentor and “big sis” MC Lyte. Lex Dime is still pushing and striving to make a name for herself in this music industry. Its will be just a matter of time before you see and hear her all over your radios and televisions if you haven't already !
